Best Practices for Marketing Your CSR Message
As more companies begin touting their CSR values and vision within their Web sites, annual reports, and advertising, they need to be authentic or the messaging will backfire. But done the right way, green marketing can be a driver for business growth.
A 2009 Deloitte Green Shopper Study found that sustainability considerations either drove or influenced the buying decisions of more than half the shoppers interviewed. The study also found that these green shoppers are still on a learning curve, as they need help in better understanding the product's social and environmental benefits before they purchase.

At first glance, it would seem that nearly all companies would be harmed by regulations aimed at restricting emissions. But a closer look reveals that the harm might only be slight. The U.S. Congressional Budget Office calculated that the cap-and-trade bill passed by the House last year would only reduce annual growth of GDP from 2.4 percent to 2.1 percent between 2010 and 2050. Ernst & Young Survey: Most Executives Devoting Additional Funds for Climate Change Policies
Global executives are directing more attention to their climate change strategies, according to a new Ernst & Young Survey of 300 global executives. What's more, the study shows that 70% of corporate executives are planning to increase spending on climate change initiatives in the next two years.
