ARCHIVED WEBINAR :: Tone at the Middle: Helping Managers Become Ethics Envoys: A Panel Discussion

Tone at the middle is on the minds of many ethics professionals these days—and with good reason. There’s a growing recognition that tone at the top, annual code training, a hotline, and other ABCs of compliance programs are not enough to drive ethics down into the organization and effect culture change over time. What’s often missing is the  influential voice of managers. When employees are asked who sets the ethical tone for them, most identify their immediate supervisor, not the CEO or the Board.

By helping managers become ethics envoys within the company, ethics officers aim to develop ethical leaders and build ethical culture as a way of mitigating integrity risk and improving business performance.

In this webinar, three leading tone-at-the-middle practitioners discuss how they’ve developed their respective programs and address issues of planning and implementation. Among the questions for discussion are: What buy-in strategies work best with middle management? How important are integrity KPIs in motivating managers to participate actively? What resources and tools do managers need to engage their teams effectively?
