Kaplan EduNeering and the Pharmacy Benefit Management Institute, LP (PBMI) have formed an alliance to provide learning solutions for professionals involved in the delivery of drug benefit programs.

Under the alliance, Kaplan and PBMI will develop a unique curriculum for human resource executives, benefit professionals, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and managed care professionals.Online courses for organizations involved in managing the drug benefit for group health and Medicare Part D beneficiaries, as well as for specialized populations such as Medicaid and workers compensation, also will be created.

Key issues facing the industry, including understanding how PBMs work, how benefit professionals can contract effectively with a PBM, and how to manage drug cost expenditures will be addressed.
