EduNeering Provides Courses Approved for Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credit
Eighteen courses have been reviewed and approved by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) for CME credit
April 20, 2006 - Princeton, New Jersey - EduNeering, a leading provider of knowledge management solutions to improve workforce performance and business value, has announced the availability of eighteen courses approved for Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). The courses are part of EduNeering's Global Clinical and Regulatory Affairs Curriculum that is designed for physicians involved in the development, operations, management and compliance of clinical trials for the pharmaceutical and medical device industry.
"These 18 CME-designated courses are an extension of the education and knowledge services we provide to the clinical trial community," said Denise Queffelec, EduNeering's Senior Vice President and Clinical Practice Leader. "Not only do they assist physicians in fulfilling their medical licensure requirements, but they also assure sponsors of clinical trials that investigators are knowledgeable of their clinical research and compliance responsibilities."
EduNeering's CME courses cover regulations and guidances of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Union (EU) Directives, and the International Committee on Harmonization (ICH). CME-approved courses focus on core research practices ranging from Good Clinical Practices (GCPs) to Ethics as the Foundation for Clinical Research, Drug Safety and Adverse Event Reporting, and Informed Consent. Courses also detail the obligations of investigators that are specific to conducting drug and biologic trials or medical device studies. The separate CME-approved regulatory curriculum includes a comprehensive program on ICH requirements for preparing the Common Technical Document (CTD).
Clinical research is now a global activity that requires a consistent knowledge base and performance standards in order to assure compliance with regulations and guidelines. EduNeering and the ACRP have formed a strategic partnership to provide online clinical training and certification exam courses. The ACRP is an international organization comprised of more than 22,000 individuals dedicated to clinical research and development.
